Authenticating Your Surety Bond

The most unswerving form of authenticating a surety bond is to get in touch with the issuing Surety Bond Company directly. The effort to validate a bond should be made immediately after the bond is offered. When making any inquiry it is very important to be familiar with the fact that it may take a few days for the surety to respond. Surety bonds are executed by agents or in field offices of the Surety Bond Company regularly and it also takes a few days before a newly executed bond is entered into the data processing network in a frequent manner. A follow-up is also suggested for simple processing. Recognizing how difficult it can be to determine and how to contact a surety if an inquiry is not answered within two weeks. The Surety Association of America has created a list of surety companies together with contact information for purposes of authenticating a bond.

Not every Surety Association member is listed separately since participation in this program is voluntary. The list is also available on the Surety Association's Web site. Several surety companies on the list have become the members of a group of companies that have common ownership. If all inquiries for companies in the group go to one particular Surety Bond Company, the listing will refer you to the appropriate related Surety Bond Company to which the inquiry should be directed. You might want to consider various information sources suppose if a Surety Bond Company is not listed. The sources seem to be very effective in analyzing the financial strength of a surety.
