This relocation permit bond is required when a house is to be shifted from one location to another. To shift a house in the city a bond is required. This bond gives a guarantee that the house will be brought with in the division of the city. The applicant has to file with the city clerk a bond and it should be approved by the city manager and city attorney. If no bond is placed by the applicant then relocation permit will not be given. The relocation bond shall be in form of joint and several, and shall be in an amount equal to the cost plus ten percent of the work required to be done in order to comply with all of the conditions of the relocation permit as estimated by the building official. When relocation permit has been secured before a moving permit may be obtained, the owner shall execute an agreement with the city guaranteeing that the terms of the relocation permit will be complied.
